Teaching

Our teaching covers various aspects of the neurosciences and is part of the curriculum of the Bachelor and Master of Science Biology offered by the Faculty of Biology (for details see: www.bio.uni-freiburg.de/studies/index and www.bio.uni-freiburg.de/studies/degree-programs/master-en/neuroscience).

A particular focus of our teaching is the emerging field of Neurotechnology. Neurotechnology comprises the development and application of new technologies to understand, repair, replace and enhance nervous system function, as well as the exploitation of neuroscientific advances for technological innovation. Neurotechnology is an emerging multidisciplinary field based on computational neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and computer science and holds the potential to revolutionize medical treatments. We are offering a specialisation in Neurotechnology within the MSc Biology (details can be found here: www.bio.uni-freiburg.de/studies/degree-programs/master-en/neuroscience).
